Word on the street thanks to Ben Shelton at the Gateway Dirt Nationals last night is the Joiner Family (A.K.A. Hunt The Front) has bought Southern Raceway in Milton, Florida....

Anyone from down that way confirm this?

The are Republicans. That's their world view, GIVE ME YOUR MONEY is the GOP motto. I know some will get mad about a "political post" but it's the truth.

Well so am I but I'm not broke but I'm not rich I'm ok. But I have followed Dave rasmey plan for years. Politics doesn't matter much its priorities an what people want not need.

I just hope they learned something about racing, divisions, and running tracks when they've been up here in Midwest. 4 divisions, make them different, heat races and features with an invert of sorts from qualifying or feature starting position by pill draw or inverter from heat finish.

FYI. Political party doesn't matter they all want your money to operate from!ive been republican but have voted dem when choice sucked. Its all about best of the worst politically. When people stsrt realizing that we might get ahead finally!!!

That's my conclusion too, especially after Jonathan took what was a very questionable PPP loan back in 2021.

Anybody, if they can find the right people to work with, can "buy" a racetrack and make payments on it with the current owner. If they default on it, the previous owner retains it and it really doesn't affect the other person's credit since they didn't default on a bank loan. I'm not saying this is what's going on here. But this is more common in racing than people realize.
