Seemed inevitable once Forest died. Good for the money the drivers will make. Bad in that I don’t think it’s ever a good thing for the tv company to also be the series owner. Things tend to veer too far to the entertainment side vs what’s really good for the sport. See nascar for an example. They sold out for the tv money and those changes helped to really hurt the sports popularity

The horse is already out of the barn on that concern.

I’m sure you are right. Just hoping to
not further accelerate the decline of this sport

Fox Sports bought the controlling interest in IndyCar. We'll see how that works out.

FLO also has a deal in place with Amazon Prime. If they're really looking to take this mainstream they'll have to streamline the shows a bit. Is this the end of the FLO racing series as well?

I think it was Mason City that already announced a Wednesday date for next year. I doubt it is going anywhere.

Trying to take the sport to the next level is highly unlikely to get the results they want.

i think ive seen at least 4 Flo NIght In America shows announced for 2026 so i think its not going anyhwere. i imagine it will look similar to High Limits mid weeks series by 2027.

I’m not trying to pat myself on the back, but this was my post on October 2nd in the topic of “Will the LOLMDS survive after the passing of Forrest Lucas?”

Maybe Kubota expands their sponsorship and does both the High Limit Sprint Cars and High Limit Late Models. I could see the FloRacing Night in America series being merged into the current Lucas series like the original High Limit Sprint Series was merged with the All Star sprints to become the current High Limit tour. Bring Castrol on board with Kubota, Big River Steel, etc. to fund the tour.

This isn't shocking, but I was a little surprised. PRI always bring big announcements, but this is bigger than usual.

Dirttrackr should have a great take.

Will they call it the Corn dog, Choose cone, & Chase format series?
