USRA Late Models, Wissota Late Models, Wissota Modifieds, Wissota Super Stocks, Wissota Midwest Mods, & Wissota Street Stocks

Never heard of USRA Late Models. Are they close. or equal. to WISSOTA's Lates? Always liked the WISSOTA group for trying to contain the costs for the working class of racers, which is probably 98% of us.

USRA is really a limited type late model. They have some tighter shock rules. Their engine rules are basically a 602 Crate (2300#), 604 Crate (2350#), or what they refer to as a standard engine (2350#). The standard engine is a cast iron build 360 limit (Dodge 368). I think they run on American Racer tires. That's the basics.

There are a few tracks up here that are running them (MTS, Cedar Lake, Eagle River, and some others). In some cases it is bringing some older chassis late models out of the barn but there are also some running brand new cars under the USRA rules. It is very good class of cars for some who are on the learning curve for racing late models.
