Its 25 nights, most of which are special events, what more do you want? Weekly racing? Which for alot of tracks are not profitable nights. Successful specials keep tracks in the black.

1 could argue that some weekly races would be a good deed to the racers in the area, but I'm not from that area to know the success rate of those shows.

They used to have more "weekly show" type of events say 10 plus years ago. Appears they will have 3 of those next year. Been similar for the last several years. In their defense, that is such a big facility that it basically eats money just to open the gates. Also, the number of super late models in that region (and every region) has dropped off quite a bit in the last decade plus. It's most likely not feasible to have many weekly shows headlined by modifieds & stock cars. Just won't put enough butts in the seats tbh. And with the modern equipment, it's really hard on the cars to run a track like that on a weekly or even semi weekly basis.

Knoxville makes a weekly show work for sprint cars, but sprints have a lot fewer regional series that will draw cars away from their weekly shows. There is also a fair # of teams that set up shop in Knoxville for the summer to run the weekly shows & base their whole season around Knoxville & being ready for the Nationals. They make it work, but I've read that their weekly shows are just break even propositions & the Nationals makes the profit for the entire year.

Back in 2003 and before they ran 6 or 7 late model shows and got 40 to 80 late models a night. the mods and stocks got 40 to 60 a night each. Now its just not as many cars and the to run a specials only allows this to keep fans coming in large numbers and drivers showing up more and prices high.
