    Dod/pri

Was PRI way down this year or did DOD just decide to punt on covering it? Usually there would be recap videos at the end of every day with a handful of interviews and a full tech/product video after Saturday. This year ive only seen 2 total videos on DOD.

They didn't cover it like they normally would in years past.

DoD's PRI coverage is usually live updates based on running into drivers/series and getting updates as well as news from company's showing at the show.
But......these people do not use DoD/Flo to break news anymore, which I think is a bad choice. Teams/drivers are relying more on their social media feeds and followers to do it. It's not like DoD is charging to break news, use the resource.

I feel like most news and schedules are out by PRI these days...

In DoD's defense, most news is now broken prior to PRI now a days. Saw the same thing for Sprint Cars as well. Sanctioning bodies and tracks are releasing their schedules earlier than ever before.. Sponsorships and driver changes are all released via social media. Back in the day, series, tracks and teams waited for PRI. That is no longer the case anymore.

I feel like they're phasing DoD out. The only thing it's good for is the video collection. In the last couple years, they never once broke news about something first.

the thing i noticed this year is that there were no announcements by WoO or LOLMDS about drivers siging with them for 2026. In the past couple of years this was the big deal of PRI, drivers signing up for a tour.

Lucas going back to a full season championship may have had something to do with that. There was talk of a driver or two running WoO because of the chase. Now that it's gone, I would imagine most will stand pat.
