Any Tracks Still Have Race Programs?

Any tracks still have race programs? I remember getting them for $2 to $5 as a kid in 1990 and still have them as far up as 2015 but why dont tracks still do them?

Sycamore does, soon as you walk through the gates there's a girl standing there selling programs, flags, etc. Don't forget to stop by the popcorn stand. Best popcorn in Illinois!

The programs are "lucky number programs". If they call your number you win!! 🤘😎

Shadyhill Speedway in Medaryville, Indiana still has track programs. I wish more tracks still did this. It’s decent advertisement for local businesses.

Now that's funny (and scary that I am that old)...First job in racing was selling programs and the Hawkeye Racing News in the grandstands. Had a guy ask for a pen with the program once, didn't have one and he pulled a knife on me (I was maybe 11 years old)! Other fans took care of the problem before security could get there-never saw him again.

Advertised in our local track's program for years and did get some work for my construction company from it but just did it to help our racers. Then the fair board shut the place down in 1995 and a lot of locals are still p.o.ed about it and attend nothing there.

Pulling a knife on a 11 year old kid I hope the other fans had head and azz both stomped about 3 foot in the ground by the time security did get there.

I can tell you I watched them drag him down the old wooden bleachers by his feet- they held him in the gravel until officers arrived and they put silver bracelets on him. Always wondered what he thought he needed the pen for, way to drunk to fill anything out. Maybe he didn't like the racing shirt I was probably wearing...

Didn't mean to hijack the thread with a crazy story (although true); seems things like My Race Pass have taken the place of the programs. People used to read up on the drivers, keep track of race results, look at the adds with the programs- some of those functions are now on your phone (like everything else). Social Media seems to fill the remaining info in- not saying it is better or worse just different.

Forget Illinois, Sycamore has the best popcorn of any racetrack in the country that I've been to!

Last time their popcorn was bragged about on here, the price went up a $1.50 a box! Lol
