Monett Speedway closed?

Anyone see the recent FB postings about Monett Speedway closing and becoming a truck parking lot?

Track posted on its page December 29th that the track is available for lease. Word I'm seeing is that the parking lot has been leased out only for now to the trucking company as a means of income but that could just be internet hear say.

I'd hate to see Monett close again. A decade or two back it was one of the countries' best Sunday night tracks from the LMs to the Factory Stocks.

I hope somebody can lease it and make it work. I spent many Sunday nights there watching Late Models.
