Doubt he would like the WoO redraw format. Lucas he can fast time, start pole of heat, start pole of feature. That can happen in WoO also but the redraw might bury you in 6th or 8th also.

He hasn't won a championship since 2019. So he may be thinking time for a change. He's been talking to woo so will see. Either that or he goes pick n choose

I doubt he switched tours. I more look for him to go true outlaw and hit the big races on both tours.

I'd say open schedule if he drops off Lucas. There are soo many midwest WoO shows this year that logistically it doesn't make alot of sense.

My guess is he's just trying to leverage lucas/flo into paying him more show up money

Jd said years ago that he would like to do the outlaw tour once just to say he did it

His last couple posts on twitter about visiting new tracks in 2026 is interesting.

I think he's messing with people.

Two things I noticed in the announcement:
                      1. Ace Duran Hauling & Rigging are his new primary sponsor. What happened to Nutrien? Did they call it a day with dirt? Could have impacted the touring vs. not touring decision.
                      2. Said he “might be open to trying a different genre of racing”. Trucks again or something new…?
                      Let the rumors commence

I believe Nutrien is staying on in a smaller role.

You wonder if he's tired of running a schedule he's not in charge of (being away from home so much) and/or wanting to race some closer to home when something big is there since Lucas is primarily in the Midwest.

He will now have to race his way in without any provisionals to use in case he needs them.

I'm sure there will be a provisional category he still falls into, such as 'past champion'.
