Doesn't have to be 'dotting the eyes', race them as they race you. I imagine JD didn't want to mess up a chance to win $25,000 but could have dumped Terbo when he got to him (probably made the right call). Terbo had no problem showing his displeasure at Eldora (and took himself out in the mix), probably why JD is as successful as he is and Terbo seems to keep himself off that next level.

The younger kids are coming, quite a few in other parts of the late model world so don't be surprised when some rich parents head to the top level with their 13 year old....Video game mentality, open checkbooks and a car you virtually can not get hurt in. You think it is bad now, hold on!

To be fair here I don't think as many people spoke so highly of JD when he was Terbo's age as they do now. He had to go through some growing pains to become who he is today.
Do I believe Terbo will ever be on the same level as JD's career per say? No probably not.
But, Terbo is good for the sport and a good dude, after all JD has won literally millions over the last several years and I have not recall seeing where he has had the heart to donate a dime to charity, as Terbo seems to be donating to different things fairly regularly so to me that shows me Terbo has a good heart on him.

I liked JD a lot when I was younger for this reason. You had Scott that drove straight and smooth and won everything. Then you had JD that was doing everything he could to win, and rarely finishing with a straight race car but was a blast to watch. As time has went on, JD is now Scott and these young guys are giving it back to him.

Didn't bloomer fence terbo at golden isles one year on a start... seems like I remember that. Terbo has a few screws loose and I'd put my money on him vs 99% of the rest of them in a fist fight. Seeing bronson pick up huddy without bending his knees might be the outlier lol

im not a terbo fan at all. I will say his personality is good for the sport. It doesnt seem like hes progressed any since he joined best tho. He still hasnt won a crown jewel race while others his age have multiple. Bobby, hud, moran. He likes to talk about all the people he can whoop but i havent seen any yet. He seems like an ok dude til he puts the helmet on. Id honestly like to see the villain run a little better tho

Even though I think Terbo has improved in both his behavior and performance since he's been off the tour, this particular instance mostly belongs to him. That slider was more than a little "tight" and JD had already rotated his car so braking and throttling down in that exact moment I'm not sure would've negated any contact from happening. I'd say 90% Terbo 10% JD on blame and severity. I've never seen the whole heat race, only the pit video and a small clip of the slider and impact. Terbo is still one of the dirtiest mouths in the pit, but if he'd give himself a chance I think he is fast and capable of winning. Hate it for JD, I've always been a fan as he comes from my area and I remember when he was over eager and too aggressive at times, but he usually owned it instead of cursing everyone out and acting he'd done nothing wrong.

Raced with JD quite regularly when he was getting going, not even close to compare. Yes, he went over the edge at times but LEARNED from it, didn't continually blame and look to put the spotlight on himself! Terbo is capable enough of running side by side but continues to choose the way he does; like I said earlier- someone has to give us something to talk about and wear the black hat.

On a side note Pierce had no problem squaring up some bad driving last night! Not a Pierce fan but did what needed to be done....

Not only does Erb not learn from his mistakes, he isn't getting any better at racing either.
