Super Late Model Racing (SLMR) Series - 2026 Schedule
Super Late Model Racing (SLMR) Series. 16,198 likes · 750 talking about this. Bringing Super Late Model Racing to local tracks throughout Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, and South Dakota
Anyone have information on the PRO Late Model tour in Iowa? Thinking of trying to go that way for a few races and know their rules are close to SLMR...
June 27th Memphis mo. should be a GREAT show on a 3/8 mile very wide track that produces great racing. the only other major race that day in the midwest is UMP SN at Haubstadt in. if your not going to tri-state than either go to memphis or get the PPV. memphis is a county fairgrounds track and is extremely racy.

very few below avg tracks on this series and many very good/great tracks. i think about every race is also available on PPV. Rules allow for anthing from a IMCA lm to Super lm with modifications.

Spent quite a few weekends at Memphis when it was a half mile (remember Andy Claiborne coming with a badass piece for the time- remember them scoring with spoons on a table!); not to far from my hometown area. Hoping to make a 'racing vacation' this summer, 7-10 days and try to run a few tracks that I went to growing up (Webster City and Marshalltown would both be good, was hoping the PRO tour might have a few dates in that time period). Osky and Memphis would be good as well but I also have a pesky job I have to work around.... Currently have a 604, a 525 and a 'good' 365 limited engine but no big stuff. Looked like the 525 would be my best option. Thanks for the information!

Actually from SE Iowa, just north of Burlington. My father would go to any special events at Memphis, usually multiple day shows; would camp out and they always had a big town event going on. Other than that he ran mostly SE Iowa tracks so that is were I started as well. Hoping to run a few again this summer if it works out (actually in Iowa as I am typing, visiting family). SLMR and PRO tour look like possibilities for what we run.

Your 365 might be good if it's similar to a Wissota. The Wissota I ran with SLMR is the engine I used racing with you at Eldora in October.

Yes, my 365 is close to Wissota rules. Felt it was no issue at Eldora (driver needed to step it up); even with the West Virginia big cubic inch steel blocks. I was afraid the pay might not be so good- was the next piece I was trying to find out. I will preface that the pay isn't a huge deal for this trip although I would very much prefer something that had a strong middle payback. More about getting to run some places I should have already and some I haven't ran in 35 years. Going to hopefully run a couple of SLMR races as well if plans work out.
