John Blankenship - New Dirtology project performance-based rating system

I wanted to share a little project I've been working on which I'm calling Dirtology for now.

The site contains a vast amount of historical and recent race information, a performance based rating system, a prediction model that allows for picking your favorite driver for the win. Live chat and a forum to connect with other race fans and share your experiences at the track!

It would be nice if this system was quoted when broadcast say "The #1 driver in the country" instead of using DoD's ridiculous poll. I'm sure it could use some tweaks, but I don't see any glaring errors like you see in DoD's polls.

          Maybe needs a little tweaking...

          Driver Rankings — Season 2023

          1 142.28 Dale McDowell 41 10 24 30 24.4%
          2 141.27 Ricky Thornton Jr. 98 33 73 80 33.7%

Agree, but it's like WPCT. You have to take into account the number of races they ran. 41 races is a part time schedule.

Is this an AI generated spreadsheet? "Series Strength Index" has WoO over Lucas Oil. I disagree. For example, Sheppard dominated WoO, switched to Lucas and never won a title, goes back to WoO and wins a title, comes back to Lucas and still isn't a strong championship threat. There are two elite cars in the outlaws (maybe three if Chris Madden doesn't throw a tantrum). That's it. As of right now, no WoO car has won a LOLM race and a quarter of the WoO races run so far have been won by LOLM cars.
