I think he’s making a reference to the previous configuration of Lawrenceburg Speedway. The facility is great now but quite a few fans preferred the track as it was prior to the renovation.

the original legendary lawrenceburg speedway was special. it was a 1/4 mile bowl with no walls except in front of the stands. mostly sprints. i still talk about races i saw there 45 years ago.

I wish there were enough race teams and fans to support the reopening of all those tracks. Unfortunately, those days are many years behind us.
