What kind of crowds did Vic Hill get for his first two nights of The Gaulet? Surprised at the car counts considering the $100,000 bonus being offered. Hoping he hits a home run for this promotion.

I wanted to support the event because I always appreciate those that stick their neck out but yet another streaming service to add, that real high price you mentioned, and the very low car count just doesn’t do it for me. Hopefully he doesn’t take too hard of a hit and massive weekend crowds can make up for the first 2 days but Tue-Wed was gonna be tough. Especially with school going on still. And you’re asking a lot of the local fan base to pay special event prices shortly after they just had the WoOLM. That event was a smashing success. Probably should’ve left it at that.

Most PPV streaming service pricing is less than the cost of a ticket to get in and the gas to get there……

Promoters should be making as much off of every stream as they do an actual ticket. Especially since multiple people can watch at home on one PPV and it takes dollars out of actual ticket sales because people sit at home.

Unfortunately, promoters that went with Flo racing have ruined the probability of streaming for other promoters. Now everybody expects a cheap annual subscription like Flo racing and practically pay a couple dollars to watch each race.

additionally, huge paying money races are a dime a dozen and they aren’t attracting big car counts anymore. The promoters ran their payoffs up on themselves, trying to cater to the few big name drivers. While throwing all this big money at those few top teams, they have caused racing to get so expensive that local team teams can’t be competitive anymore and car counts have plummeted.

Now they’re having a hard time turning a profit off of these events.

On paper and I guess in theory these PPV prices seem reasonable to charge what the cost of a GA ticket would be. But for me the reality of already having FLO & Dirtvision and paying $450 a year, I can not mentally justify buying a single race even if I want to really watch it, when I already have access to so many races with the two streaming services. For the sake of these promoters and their succes I hope I am in the minority and most others are willing to pay to watch these special races.

You're not alone BTE, hard to drop $125 for 4 nights when it's $150 for a year of Flo...Dream, World, every Lucas, Flo Night in America, MARS, Spring Nationals, Southern Nationals, Wild West Shootout race and countless other late model events plus the DirtOnDirt website.

I honestly don't think I would of bought it if it was $40 for all 4 nights. I probably would of went in person if they had coordinated it the same weekend as Bristol as it's not a bad drive between the two.
