Glad to see that Ethan Dotson didn’t put up with Bobby bull (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) sliders last night way to stand up for yourself

Being there and watching it I was a bit surprised they were going at it so hard in a heat race when both were solidly in transfer spots. It really didn't seem all that necessary but, it was entertaining. In most heat races drivers would be content to just - mail it in. The after action commentary brought some reaction from the crowd, especially from Dotson. I thought Pierce's commentary was a bit more measured and diplomatic when he got his turn.
Hey, sliders have become such a part of DLM racing. Some do it well and can make it look clean, some others leave less room for interpretation. Gives us something to talk about I guess.
As it turned out, that heat race was probably the race of the night. The feature was okay but there wasn't any really big movers. Props to Ryan Gustin for driving hard with part of his fender in his face for several laps. Trey Mills went top shelf and drove hard to make his transfer into the feature and I was surprised nobody tried to follow his line because it sure worked for him. Brent Larson almost always pulls out one his best drives at MTS and he was solid as his top five showed.
Having the big boy mods as the undercard race is always good at MTS. The USRA mods are a good show and they have a solid field.

Didn't Dotson flip Strickler when Strickler pulled the exact same move he did?Originally posted by Spike 188 View PostGlad to see that Ethan Dotson didn’t put up with Bobby bull (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) sliders last night way to stand up for yourself

Saturday night was very good show. Kudos to the staff at MTS for getting the track in a very racy condition.
Ryan Gustin had a good weekend with a third, a second and a first (in the big money one that mattered). Pierce came from 15th at the start to be a real challenge at the end. The two late cautions did not help. The race was getting into one of those - please stay green moments. Had it stayed green I think it would have been very entertaining with Pierce catching up to Gustin at the end. JD also had a very good run in the Saturday feature. All in all a good race tho early on it seemed a few guys guessed wrong on some tire choices.
Glad to see Gustin get the big win on Saturday. Got a chance to talk with him before the event and had a nice visit. Really good dude.Political correctness,...is the inability to speak the truth about the obvious.

Ah yes, yes indeed! A taste of ones own medicine... You could tell in Bobby's interview he didn't like the flavor and can't stand it when somebody throws it back at him. It was hilarious him acting like he can keep his "cool" when in reality he never can. Just grow up already, Bobby Bulldozer! 😁I'm a copycat wetter... 😎

Messing with Dotson, who came up through the ranks at Bakersfield, wasn't a wise decision. Bako has always had a tough bunch, many of whom came out of the oil fields, and were never known to put up with bull----. I've attended and/or raced there for some 50+ years till they closed after last season and know this fact well. Some joints just have to be self policed by the racers and it usually works. Attaboy Ethan.

Hopefully that heat race paid enough for his help to catch up on their child support!Originally posted by over4T View PostMessing with Dotson, who came up through the ranks at Bakersfield, wasn't a wise decision. I like Gustin a lot. He just seems to very hit or miss. When he is on, he is awesome to watch. They seem to have a lot of equipment failures. It reminds me a lot of Josh McGuire. Josh never ran a national tour of course, but was (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) fast when he was. He always seemed to struggle with equipment failures just like Gustin does.Originally posted by Morgs153 View PostSaturday night was very good show.
