Zack Dohm had a few years with really good runs. Stickler about won the "Stream". Josh Rice has done a good job as of late in the prelims nights. Which is why Josh Rice is my dark horse. He's starting to look faster in the new ride as well.
Josh Rice was great on Friday night last year. IMO that night was the best Eldora race I'd seen in many years. The track was cowboy up with a big cushion. A little scary like the old days. And then Saturday rolled around it was blowing dust in hot laps. Soon as I saw that I knew 49 was winning if he didn't break.

And I am also wondering how you could not throw the 9 in the mix...
My thoughts exactly, it's always been that way just a handful of guys who really had a chance. And yes, now and then you get that guy that pulls it off out there at eldora.

I think that was just cause it was the Flo night series. I think Shelton is one of the promoters of that series so he is in the booth for those.

I haven't been to split field race yet and went all 3 days every year from 2013 until they split them.. I either go to the world now or just go to Saturday of dream. The best thing about Eldora is the huge car counts and to split the amount of races you get in 1/2 and same admission is a hard pass for me.

Barring rain, tonight & tomorrow will be over by 10pm Eldora time. Heck this time of year it is just barely gotten dark by then. This split format would have been levels of awesome back in the days of the 150 cars showing up. Then everyone could have raced on a prelim night.

                Something I don't understand I guess.

Ben does not promote anything. He is an employee of Flo Racing.

I’ve seen him make reference to doing things for that Flo night deal. I took that to mean he had a hand in running some part of it. Maybe he is just doing things for it as a Flo employee.

Good sign that so far nobody is discussing track prep.

seems to me he has taken the whole schedule and moved it to his favorite local tracks.. we all know Fairbury is the greatest thing since sliced bread!

Michael Rigsby is part owner of Fairbury.
Ben is the race director of the FLO Series.
The bottom line: Ben Shelton works for Rigsby at Flo. (Nothing more-regardless as to what he leads you to believe)
