I've seen Jason Feger and Mark Voigt are running it all, anyone else announced plans yet?

Looking back to last year, Terbo, McCowan, and Mills are all on tours now.

Feger said he is going to take it day by day at the dream. But we know what that ends up being a lot of the time. I could see Bronson dropping off your and running it. The rest of the Florida bunch could be possibles as well. Hise, whitener, and joiner. Also English. I noticed he didn't run the dream.

That's how it used to be in the beginning. It was only 2 weeks I believe when first started.

Justin Duty usually runs it. Or at least he has the last few years. Coles County this Friday might knock a few of em off tour with some torn up cars.

DV still doesn't offer any Summer Nationals package, you have to pay for two months to watch them all.

It's been a Hell Tour for the teams and tracks. Cancellations, wasted fuel, sleeping in parking lots, late nights, frustrations. Just a sad year due to mother nature.

It seems the Hell Tour just gets deader every year. I've watched several nights. No shame on Babb, Feger, etc cause I'm a homer & love all those Illini guys (sans 32), but the summernationals basically feels like a MARS series show this year. It has been trending that way & seems worse this year between high fuel prices (starting to come down some), rainouts, etc. Heck Farmer City barely had enough cars for a B main (27 LM). That one used to routinely draw 40 to 50 cars.

And that doesn't even touch the continuing insane weeknight scheduling. The tracks taking a weeknight show should be told 2 class maximum if running both LM & mods. Maybe 3 classes if they don't run the mods & instead run a couple local classes that draws 12 cars each. Other than rain delay or other issues or a bad crash that requires medical attention delay, under no circumstance should a weeknight late model feature start after 10pm. Preferably 9:30.

Frankly most of those shows aren't worth the typical $30 gate admission to see 25 or so cars. Not sure the fix (or if there is one) but it is way off in terms of significance.

Considering the limited number of lates nowadays, I think theyre doing pretty well car count wise. Averaging around 27-29 on weekdays. Sycamore 30. Fals 41.

Im good with 27 lates on a weekday. How many guys do you want to go home with empty pockets on a Tuesday night?

                            F.C. was a dissappointment.

Farmer was the one that stood out. And Pevely to a lesser degree. 20 years ago the Farmer SN show was the event of the season in central Illinois. They routinely pulled 50 plus cars. Some years close to 60. To see it relegated to a glorified Mars show is kind of sad. But as you mentioned there aren't that many supers left.

Pevely had drawn 40 plus at times & was in that mid 20's range.

In the old days part of the SN fun was occasionally some big dogs would miss the feature. Not enough points provisionals to go around if there are 40 good cars in the pits. That made for some cut throat racing at times. Nowadays a solid series follower rarely if ever misses a show. Just not that deep a field.

The weeknight shows aren't so noticeable. Lots of those have never drawn more than 25 or 30 for the 5k to win purse. But now most of the weekend shows feel basically the same as the weeknight shows.
