And that is one of the biggest anomalies of the Pierce car, it's ability to pass. Practically everyone wins from the first two rows because of the aero and level playing field of the cars but not the Pierce car. It's an anomaly. Almost like there's something that car has that the rest of pits lacks completely.

I am by no means a Pierce fan, but it's a combo of car & his style. He is so so good banging the cushion. So few guys run up top consistently so when he hits it right, he can make these charges from way back. Like this year at the Dream, once it rained you knew he was the guy to beat. Eldora with a heavy cushion & you can just about write the check out. No doubt he has good equipment under him & his dad knows how to set it up. His ability to "run where they ain't" makes it easier to pass cars especially on the aero heavy tracks of today.

pierce had a sprint car driving style before you had to have one to win in late models. Hes impressed me the most not always having to run the fence anymore, hes gotten good in the middle
