Aren't late model roofs supposed to be "flat" still....

Was watching a bit of Oskaloosa WoO rae last night. Could someone well versed in the body rules explain how any of the cars running last night were legal roof lines. I know the rules have gotten out of control or aren't enforced but the entire field looked like sprint car wings with how much slope was in the roof line last night. I'm sure they tweaked things for the flat half mile. Maybe the camera angle picked it up more than usual but it was very obvious and cars looked ugly as hell. Maybe its a rule that has changed. I'm not a tech guy at all. Or maybe they have just let it slide to the point where it isn't even considered any longer.

Cars in the late 90's and early 2000's has slightly bowed roofs. They were bowed in the middle with the front and back being slightly lower.

As a follow up to my original question, I am curious if this is still forbidden in the dirtcar rules. Or did they finally do away with the charade. I know its been an issue for a while but that Osky show just made me think to myself, (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) it is extremely noticeable & the cars looked ugly as could be in my opinion.

Nobody is enforcing the body rules. If they were, you wouldn't see the jacked up bodies like you do now. Spoiler heights (which is a joke) and the droop are the only things they care about.

There certainly are some cars that seem to be carrying a bit of a lift to the driver side of the roof, along with some rake. Every little bit for aero, right?

The roof I think now is supposed to have the same rake as the body, but even that nonsense isn't enforced. The cars with the convex roofs, as was mentioned in this post, had a roof that created lift. Now, the cars lose down force, if you remove the roof.

How about the fender behind the driver's side door. Rounded in like a curve. As others say, don't think there's any enforcement with dirt body rules. Might as well bring back Gary Balough to design a dirt late model. He could come with a dirt late model, bat mobile version two. His roof would be perfect. 😅

I honestly don't know why they don't have an open rule on the body when they don't even enforce the rules they have.
