Scott went into detail on an interview about the deal with Frye. There has always been a rumor that Fryes car was either 3 wheel or AWD. I was there, but only 8yrs. I remember that incident pretty and the Mars/Barnett battle pretty well. After watching that race and watching Bill's car, it definitely had some sort of advantage. Supposedly, Scott knew this and is why he turned him. If you watch closely, it looks like the RF spin like it was part of the drivetrain.

Frye has never denied or admitted that car had an advantage. It's probably a mystery we will really know the truth on 😂

Bill still has the car today. It ran one other race years later with little success, bill has always been very cheeky about it publically but lots of people close to him know all about the car and what it was.

I'm still a fan of Pierce. People have become to soft when it comes to late model racing. I guess I'm just used to watching the midgets and Sprint cars doing sliders all night long. HH25 you're right Bobby is not there to make friends. He's there to cash the check and he drives hard to do just that. The bank doesn't care if some feelings get hurt along the way. lol

"Sliding" someone is one thing, "Feeding someone the RR" is a whole different thing and "Slide n' Park" is yet another. The first takes skill and acceptable, the last 2 deserve a knuckle sandwich at minimum, but todays racer is too soft for that too.

I don't get all upset over a bad slider. Like I said if someone does it back to Bobby I'm ot going to get all upset over it. I would be like well you had it coming.

99% of the time, the guy getting slid has the option to turn left. Whether they choose to do so is their choice. Some guys ego's don't allow them to do so.

My definition of a bad slider is the one that got pulled on Bob Gardner a year ago. It's the kind when they pin you on top of the exit of the corner with no way out. I don't think Gardner could have turned down if he wanted to.

The difference between a sprinter and a dlm and "Sliders" is if its done maliciously and the nose gets damaged, your night is over and payback may already have slipped way. I don't mind a "correct" slider being deployed, but several times BP has ended the night of other racers. If all a racer can do is throw bombs, he ain't much of a driver in my book. Which is what makes it all the more frustrating, BP is fast(consistently) and will rip thru the field, only to arrive near the front and resort to throwing bombs at those who are as fast as he.

I have a hard time believing Booby goes in there just tear up ones race car on purpose. The main objective when racing is to win and with the way the cars are so areo dependant these days you have to take chances when the oppertinity arises. When you race for a living you have to get all you can get. Now does that mean it's always a clean slider absolutely not. I'm a Bobby Pierce fan, but I'm not afraid to say when it's a bad slider. I'm not afraid to say when it happens to him, well he deserves it.
