I watch a lot of DLM racing (real person live, and on Flo, and highlights on YT) and I honestly have never seen what some of you are talking about —---------- so, can someone here please find a few (on youtube) of these sliders you're talking about that Bobby pulls and post it here in this thread.

Maybe I am totally misunderstanding what you are saying ….. but, isn't what you are saying above what race car drivers are supposed to do in general? Put other guys at a disadvantage on the track?

No, you aren't supposed to force guys to wreck or stop. That isn't racing. Placing your car, moving at a slower rate of speed, ahead of the other car, is playing chicken. It's not racing.

Every time you park your car in front of a guy who got back in the gas 1.5 car lengths ago, you are paying chicken. They are not very maneuverable at that time. A good slider doesn't linger to the inside of the car getting slid. They slide by and the car getting slid can turn down.

If you have to go look for it and try to find the dirty sliders that Bobby has delivered so many times over the years, you're never going to see it...

I can name a few off the top of my head...don't know if they exist on youtube or not. Pierce Gustin at Burlington. Pierce Heckenast at Kankakee SN (I think it was Kankakee). Those are 2 of the ones I recall as I watched em happen.

Pretty sure it was Spoon River that Bobby door slammed Heckenast coming out of 2.

Bobby is good for the sport and he is a very talented driver. He races to win and sometines he might ruffle a few feathers. Some people hate him so bad even if he made a good slider they would find another reason not to like him. Fact

I personally don't think it's just Bobby or more Bobby per say. Sliders by nature are a guessing game as to weather or not your leaving the guy enough room or if you even have the speed to clear him at all. Kinda like a hail Mary. My opinion is their are guys that throw sliders as a norm and guys that don't and anyone throwing a slider is gonna inevitably throw a bad one at some point because theirs too many variables outside their control not to. It's become somewhat the norm in our sport but theirs still alot of guys that generally don't use it. It used to be Somthing a guy would do in lapped traffic because he didn't have another option and let's be honest the leader doesn't care if he impedes a lapped car progress nor do i personally. It just comes down to consequences and now days their aren't very many on or off the track. And one reason is theirs an art to wrecking people and in my experience guys who typically race very clean are the worst at wrecking people when they try so their better off just not trying at all lol
