Was disappointed with last night's show from Alabama. Some of the usual complaints about Southern racing; looong nights, too many classes, lot's of dead time etc. but the real whine was with the broadcast having no captioning all evening. As just a viewer, not as a racer, unless you're a local you probably aren't real familiar with the racers that are and even if you recognize the name it's impossible to know the cars' drivers. The broadcasters did a good job calling the race but decades of being at race tracks, noisy construction work all week and just plain old age limit what is understandable over, often, questionable mics. Add in camera work that was like looking from a mile away trying to identify who's who and it was not a very entertaining show. Expect, and usually get, a better show from FLO. Am I too picky?

Your comments on the production are spot on. Not being picky. Looked like one camera tried to cover it all. And no leaders or lap graphics.
You forgot to mention the track. If you looked up train race in the dictionary, last night's 60 lap race would describe it. Just a follow the leader circle around the bottom. Even the announcers were confused on how to call the race. Thought I heard them compare it to Senoia. They kept waiting, for two nights, for the track "to come in". Well, it didn't. Thank God the race didn't go 100 laps.

The long segments with no audio or verbal talking caught me a few times. Thought I accidentally bumped the mute button. I didn't hang around for the choo choo.8/13/16
