I grew up watching Asphalt racing exclusively in the North East. I saw my first Dirt race a few years back at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, ND.Originally posted by zyoung25 View PostWe may go over to New Smyrna tonight and check it out. I've never been there. I know lil Bob will be there. Rest of the week will be eating dirt though.
I've since been to two Asphalt shows... One at Wall Speedway in NJ featuring the Tour Mods and one at Oxford Plains in ME featuring Late Models.
At both shows I left early because I was bored out of my mind.
Dirt is for racing, Asphalt is for getting there.
Thanks,
Jeff.

You would have to know this ol guy I'm with. He's one of those ones that once he gets something in his head...there's no changing his mind haha. As soon as his feet hit the floor in the morning at 6am, he's ready to go eat. He goes from the bed to the couch, shoes are on and he's ready to go to....cracker barrel. Since I've been down here we've ate cracker barrel 5 times.Originally posted by W2Racing09 View PostI grew up watching Asphalt racing exclusively in the North East. Sounds like my Grandfather, he has never seen a dirt race before. He is coming down in April and I'm making plans to take him to a few Dirt races (including Lucas at Hagerstown) and he asked if there were any Paved tracks around. He would rather watch a $500 to win Paved late model race than go check out the Dirt tracks.Originally posted by zyoung25 View PostYou would have to know this ol guy I'm with. This ol guy is a friend I've known forever, he owns 3 dirt lates. I guess he just wants a change of scenery or something. Once he mentioned coming here, I knew there wasn't changing his mind.
