Payouts in the Midwest?

I just saw an article on DoD about an increase in the purse at a race track in Kansas (Caney Valley). They are upping their purse for a few events to $1000 to win, $200 to start. Their regular events however still remain $700 to win, $125 to start.

Is that a normal purse in the Midwest? I don't think you could draw a full field of Steel Blocks here (in the Mid Atlantic) with that purse.

Yep thats pretty typical for a weekly show. The regional shows are $2000 to Win, $300-$400 to start with $100 entry fee.

Most of them would be considered a steel block class car. Few are truely supers. Its tough to get 10 cars most night around here let alone a full field.

Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, Ohio pays $2,000 to win $175 to start weekly

Depends on sanction but typically in IMCA country it's 600-800 to win weekly. I think Dubuque IA is like 600 to win weekly and still draws on average 20-24 cars weekly. The IMCA national champion actually had the track champion out of Dubuque.

I-80 Speedway home of the Silver Dollar Nationals pays $900 to win weekly Super LM and $150 to start. Their Crate/Spec engine LM class pays $300 to win and $40 to start.

Adams County Speedway, another NASCAR track pays $750 to win and $130 to start.

Also to note the pay from First place to Second place drops $250 at ACS and $300 at I-80

I applaud Atomic for putting up a decent purse every week. $1200 to win is the same win pay they raced for 20 years ago. Cars and motors get more and more expensive every year but the purses stay the same. PATHETIC

It is one of the premier tracks in a state that actually still has supers. Who cares about the past ownership issues? They pay well and they get cars!

This " same payout as 20 years ago " is true but also misleading. To me it implies that tracks are making a killing and just not passing it
On to the racers and that's just not true. Tracks everywhere are closing and it's not
