I could see why teams would consider going to Iowa, nice paydays with little travel running against teams that are on more of an equal level funding wise.

I'm sure there are a lot looking at options for this week end. 4k at Davenport, 10 k at 34 raceway, 6k at Farmer City, 15k at Farmer City, 2k at East Moline, all close enough to make a difference. If anyone knows, who will be where, let us know. It's too bad that Farmer City rescheduled, but them things happen. I would have gone to all of them.

On another forum (ISC) Davenport Speedway has Feger, Unzicker, Sheppard and Shirley heading to Iowa. That would be some noteable UMP teams. Interesting weekend indeed.

Yep, I think he has a sponsor from over that way as well. He was bummed that the rain date caused the overlap of dates, I was bummed because I love seeing him run Davenport and 34. Told me as much as he wants to go to Iowa, he has a lot of local fans that are counting on him being at F/C.
Oh well, save the road trip for another time...

Both shows will be good, but I could see a few guys leave Farmer city Friday and head to 34 Raceway. Or a guy leaving Davenport after Friday and heading to Farmer City. Im sure car counts on Friday will make some drivers Saturdays choices easier!!

Davenport's field may be the one most affected by the other events (Farmer City, Batesville and Farley). If Feger, Pierce, Shirley and Sheppard go to Farmer City that waters down the field some. They will be missing good cars that were there last year.
