First Illini 100

I am planning on taking the family to our first Illini 100 tonight. I know it shows the gate opens at one but what would be an adequate time to arrive. The kids are younger so I don't want to make them sit around and wait for four hours if it can be avoided. Any input you all could give would be greatly appreciated.

I would say probably about 4
