You have the Moran in there now. I'll start giving this a little credence when Garnes is in that top 100. I don't think I remember Tim Dohm outrunning Garnes much if any and he's on the list. I can name several others but you get the picture.

This list isn't about whose best! It's about who fits the formula.

One of these days you'll figure out a 10th place finish on the tour isn't (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word) compared to winning against a 20 or 30 car field no matter where you are.
    BUCKLE UP NOW, YA HEAR?

Hey dumbfuk!!!! He's had Moran in there all season. And a top 10 in a tour race probably does mean more. Otherwise your boy wouldn't be ranked.

      Chew on that.

klemmabyna,Thanks for the kind words. I really enjoy collecting the stats and quantifying them. As for DirtonDirt; I don't see how any late model fan lives without it. It is worth every penny.

There are 884 races that you compile in your rankings... is that based on a certain pay to win to qualify?

One of the most absurd statements I've seen in a while.

Been to many a tracks where the winner wouldn't have a snowballs chance in he11 of even making a WoO or Lucas A Main. I think you underestimate just how talented and well funded these touring guys are. It's a whole different game when you follow one of these tours.

I'm not a huge fan of husker all the time but I can say without a doubt in my mind that you are a complete idiot. It would probably be best for your cause to not ask anyone because most would agree with that statement.

Personally I really like these rankings. They are going to have some flaw in them because they are not factoring in human opinion. Those of you that dog the rankings have no clue. They are done for FUN, and are soley based on STATISTICS. The computer can't factor in that what Weaver has done is "Pretty Awesome", don't think there's a category for that since that would be human OPINION! Next time maybe you should put the countless hours into putting a formula together and release your own poll. BTW, top 10 in a Lucas or WoO races is pretty darn tough to do consistently imo.
I live with fear, but sometimes she lets me race.

A perfect example. 2 really good racers.

Tough just to make a show at these events. With their emergency provisionals and such, the touring guys often get in the show and regional racers are left out. Brian Shirley missed the Illini A Main. T Mac raced. Both had a bad showing in heats and did not advance thru B Main. T Mac gets the nod with the emergency provisional and Shirley is done for the night. Both were equally fast as seen the previous night, but when your competing against this type of competition, making the race is big.

This is really cool. I've been building a database and working on putting together something similar. It's extremely time consuming especially without a place to provide race results in a structured format. Kudos to you, SDLM Rankings. I found the rankings of two drivers interesting...Walker Arthur at #29 and Marlar at #52. Walker Arthur is a driver I've been following this season and I've been a bit disappointed D on D's rankings hadn't shown him more love. With Marlar, he's a guy that I think of immediately as a top 25 driver. However, with all the rainouts it's still early in the season so I'm sure as time goes by he'll move up closer to the top. Again, thanks for this!

SnakeX3-- Walker Arthur's crate performances are the reason he ranked as high as he is. Marlar will rise if his historical performance is any indicator of future performance.
