It's the same car he's had for several years. It's. Pierce with Jason's modifications. At Lucas oil Speedway last year he tried to run in the Chassis manufactures race as a Pierce chassis. I wish him luck and hope he starts building his own car. But this one is a couple year old Pierce car.

Feger finally getting a hold of a dry slick track. That could be bad news for the Lucas circle.

Yes, that chassis was assembled originally at Pierce's shop several years and some 250+ races ago. It was Jason's design and was quite different than a stock Pierce chassis from the get go. One of the most notable differences would be the halo in Feger's chassis is taller than the Pierce cars. There were several other differences as well.
Since that time, that particular chassis has undergone many changes, the front and rear have been reworked and updated and that work was not done at Pierce's shop. Put that chassis side by side with a Pierce car and the differences are obvious.
I know this will go in one ear and out the other for those of you that think Feger's success is owed to Pierce but you keep thinking whatever you like.
Hustler Chassis 0001 is on the jig and while it has been a long time coming, they want to make sure it is right. I can also tell you that a Pierce chassis will not fit in the jig at Feger's shop...it's not going to be a Pierce copy.

So, say I build a car on a Sweet Bloomquist jig and change a couple things in the process, pull it off the jig and make a few changes to the the chassis to make it do the things I want it to do. Then build a jig that fits that end result..... is it now my car? My design? Just wondering. Seems that Lanigan is sure catching alot of hell over the same type deal...... even tho the end result doesn't exactly fit in the original jig.

shhhh. That's suppose to be top secret.

                      It is a unique look.

Jason put Pierce cars on the map. Winning and showing well in several big shows. The last time I checked it was a free country, if he wanted to buy one and change nothing and call it a dump truck chassis he could, after all its his. The people that are ragging over Lanigan have no clue what they're looking at or talking about those cars are not close to being the same.

Thanks for the clarification. It's a Pierce. And no passive aggressive to it. I'm looking forward to see the first actual Hustler hit the track.

I never said anyone owed anyone anything. I simply asked a question! I will say tho that very few, if any, chassis builders design their whole car from the ground up these days. They all got some suspension pick up points from someone else's car to start with, even if they later varied from them. DLM racing today isn't shade tree technology.

Do you know for a fact that the last rocket car Lanigan raced "looked" the same after he made his own changes to it? Yes, Jason put Pierce on the map, but you have to also take into consideration that it must have been some kind of joint deal with Pierce. I think you all took my QUESTION the wrong way. I was asking, not insinuating anything. I just wondered what everyones opinion was, but like normal the die hard Feger folks take offense to everything. Jason is a talented guy for sure, talented enough that you don't need to be so defensive about everything that is ever written about him, even to the point of taking it like it's negative when it's not!

The last rocket cars Lanigan drove was rocket by club 29...look around you can find them for sale, I had a friend who had one and now has a club 29 car, they're not near the same. A lot of guys do things to their own cars and run under the same banner. The Conley's used to do it with their rocket cars, and you wouldn't know unless you bought one.

I just hate when people put their hard work and reputation on the line and some who don't have a clue what they're talking about just take the easy way out and say "oh its a just a copy."

Lastly I am a big fan of Jason's and have been since back in open trailer days. I don't think sun rises and sets on his a$$ either, I've said the same to everyone that has called the club or black Diamond cars a copy.
