did the woo miss the opportunity

I'm sure this will taken off and i hope not but they missed what has made racing the best thing in the world to me,THE RIVALRY,if it was used correctly as a marketing tool cassey and josh could have made money along with woo, while i don't condone anyone getting hurt, sometimes there needs to be a wakeup call, hey by all means give the guy a fine but to kick him out for 6 months and not have a probation period before they go that drastic,in my opinion it was very unprofessional for the track officials and the woo group not to handle it before it got started(after all you could see how upset cassey was on the track,a track official should have been on top of that and made sure he cooled down before it got that far)but in my opinion they missed the boat on this one,and with all i said above i really don't have a dog in the hunt, too bad the fans couldn't see a great rivalry in the making, just think how they could have used it in the next race they were together,jm 2 cents, and they say racing is falling off,i wonder why???

Have to agree would have brought more fans. I am like you I don't agree with the fighting at all. I'm sure they would both do things different if they could. They will meet again and I would say they race each other clean. In my honest opinion Woo missed out they should have fined all involved and let Casey continue to race if that was possible by their rules

I just watched the video and there's no doubt Richards came down the track from lane 3 to lane 1 very quickly and hit Roberts in the right rear quarter panel pretty hard, sending Roberts for a loop. Brandon Overton was in lane 2 at time and partially between the 1 and 101. I suppose the penalties involved the fighting after the race but during the race, Richards just ran over Roberts who had recently passed him.

What opportunity????? How can a series market a rivalry between a non series regular and a series regular? Outside of missing Eldora what does the 6 month suspension actually serve for Roberts. Other than the World Finals and Tyler County(which he didn't even run last year). There are like no races in that part of the country for rest of the year. It looks like Roberts won't even miss any WoO races that he was gonna run anyway. He sure as heck wasn't gonna be pulling to Cedar Lake or Canada or North Dakota.

So what did WoO miss the boat on? To me there isn't even a boat to miss.

Shouldn't miss Eldora either. Unless something has changed, Eldora is UMP sanctioned not WOO

He will miss Eldora. WoO=UMP. Although Owens was allowed to run Eldora after using his cheater tires in a UMP-sanctioned race so who knows?

Woo struggles to keep up with it's biggest dlm competitor.....................................and really shouldn't.

They should flat out OWN the dlm segment of the market.................................and don't.

I believe the dirt on dirt article said he was suspended from woo/ump events til Nov 2nd. Which would make him eligible for the world finals in Charlotte.

And I highly doubt he was going to Eldora for the Dream.

Casey Roberts is a regional racer he will not even miss any races because of this. The suspension will be over by the world finals, The WoO missed out on nothing. They don't need this to draw a crowd. every WoO race ive been too has been a packed grand stand even in the races that Richards didn't even race in over the past couple years

The only time WoO will be in an area where Roberts would race with them is this weekend at SMS. After that, they'll spend a lot of time in the northeast, Canada, and out west.

easy now,I'm just stating that if there are some races in the south east still,it could help racing by having the giant vs the working man,or the national guy vs the regional guy,it could have helped all around, the track, woo, josh(could have come up with some shirts)casey(the same),it could be used to put the fire back in racing, thats all i was trying to hit at,it just kills me today in the corporate world how everyone gets in a bunch over someone getting upset(emotional),to me it shows that someone cares alot in what there doing and has pride in it too,not to mention the fans would eat it up in todays social media, and in the words of pop stars, any press bad or good is ok as long as there talking about it,ill leave it alone now but it was a tool that could have been used
