Will the DTWC have the largest car count this year?

I think it will surpass the Eldora races this season and here's why. Track size. I feel there is a lot of drivers who skip out on Eldora because they know its a motor eater and if they don't have the power plant the big boys have they have no shot. I feel like the DTWC this year will be a big hit cause its a special race. they have never paid this kind of money for a race. The DTWC is scheduled at a perfect time where a lot of guys are itching to run one more time before end of season and a lot of teams use that as their last race. Plus PRP normally gets 30-35 latemodels on normal shows so there are a lot of racers that run there. I think it will have 115 latemodels there this year. Guysthat will show that haven't came regularly in the past include

Chris Madden
Kevin Weaver
Donald McIntosh
Jared Miley
Austin Hubbard
Shannon Babb

Should have a real good car count. I know a few local drivers in the MOV say that they are going if everything goes well. If the weather is good that weekend, the count will be even higher, but I still don't see it passing the World 100 in car count.

With less than 90 last year, I'd say 115 is a pipe dream but, not a darn thing wrong with 90 late models. That's a heck of a field.

Yep. 115 is a reach. Even with new guys coming to the event. You have guys that won't be returning for whatever reason.

Anytime you get over 70 late models...... It's a monster field.

If you ask people around here, a good car count means that at least 40 cars go home with absolutely nothing.

Lmao, thats about what it boils down to. But racing at this level is a gamble, if ya ain't in it, ya can't win it.

I've seen guys who you would think had no chance what so ever come home with a pretty good paycheck.

So it 6 in one hand and half a dozen in the other.

they should've taken the extra $ and distribute thru the field..imo the payoff for the dtwc is not that great..lot of guys run 100 laps for 3 grand and less..50 to win and 5 to start..then you could talk 120+ cars.
