The old Fairbury track wasn't much bigger than Macon. They reconfigured it around 1989. They lengthened the straights to the west and moved the back straight out. The old track was really tight and narrow, but mostly rough. Only dirt track I ever saw that didn't have a grader. Oh yeah, it was dark too. Especially off of turn 2. Agree. None of the tracks mentioned are nowhere close to being as small as Macon or Belle Clare. There's at least 2 of the 1/5s out here in Caifornia; Ventura Speedway which runs Sprints and Modifieds as the top classes and the Orland Speedbowl in northern Cal. A spec sprint class and the Super Stocks, our class, were the top classes. Unfortunatley, Orland closed, again, last June but is reopening, again, this year and is renamed Sacramento Valley Raceway but are going to more lower buck hobby type classes so, sadly, we're out. It was a fun place to run on off nights at our regular haunts. But no SLMs at either. It's darned hard to find the Super Lates much of anywhere out here as the tracks mosty seem to be obsessed with Sprints. Too much travel for too few bucks is killing them.Comment

Peoria Speedway, which gets a lot of my money is small also (1/4 mile I think) but every time I go to Macon and step inside and look at that track, it's like dammm!8/13/16Comment

I-40 Speedway right next door to the old Atomic Speedway... You can see the old buildings in the background.
That has to be one of the smallest tracks to race full size cars...
Cottage Grove in Oregon looks pretty small also. I found some cool old vintage races from there also!
