Very good article Ben. The Show Me 100 at West Plains was the first big late model race I went to. West Plains Motor Speedway, now Legit Speedway Park is still my favorite racetrack.

I've been to lot of tracks, both as a driver and as a fan. From the west coast to the the Show Me as a fan some 12 or so years ago I was nursing an injured leg and Billie rode me around in a golf cart from the stands to the pits all weekend, a kindness that I won't forget. Great people, great track, great show. Good to remember your roots and why we're in this great sport.
