Eric Smith Winner
The late models were excellent. Scott Schmitt Lead early holding off Eric Smith on the high side and Joe Harlan on the bottom. Schmitt was able to cut Smith's high side charge of down the straights for a few laps but then Smith finally got a good run on him and got by him.Originally posted by Tackyfast View PostAnyone have the results from Farmer City last nite?
Soon afterwards Harlan was able to charge past him on the bottom. Joe would eventually work his way past Smith for the lead. Unfortunately for Joe he got caught up in lapped traffic and Smith got by him just before a caution. While they were battling McKay Wenger came storming around the high side and would fall in behind Smith for as Harlan fell back.
Wenger dogged Smith lap after lap and took a couple of shots at the lead but would come up short on a slider attempt leaving Eric Smith with a fantastic feature win. "You never know when a feature win might just be your last one" Eric went on to say the competition just keeps getting tougher and tougher and he is right Farmer City is getting quality cars on a weekly basis.

The guys choose to run there because its close to home, the new staff is working hard and also thanks to duel points sponsorship from Fairbury and Farmer City to help them earn the money they need to race both nights. Luckily for us the tracks here have decided you need a strong second track to help maintain a strong first track on the weekend nights and the sponsors step up to help make it happen, and the drivers are willing to show their support.
