Eldora Camping

So I did not reserve in advance for the Dream, and have never camped at Eldora before. Furthermore I will not arrive until about 7--7:30 on Friday.

Is Lot 5 (free) a lost cause by then?
Can you indeed camp in the Speedy parking area? (I thought so) If so how much is it?
Will anything be available by this time (most likely) in either the Eldora Village or the Northside Camp and Park?

And maybe most importantly where would you guys recommend trying to camp (tent) during the weekend with the given situation?

I have never camped but have been going to the Dream and World 100 for 8 years straight. From past experiance the Free Camping lot is never full during the Dream Weekend. The Dream attendance for the whole weekend is very small compared to the World 100. I beleive you will be perfectly fine getting there and finding a free spot for your tent. The Dream has never come close to selling out like the World 100 is every year.

Lot 5 Should not be a lost cause. We are tent camping there getting their tonight. I would say you should be fine.

I rode my motorcycle thru the campgrounds both the dream and World last year and could not believe how much area was marked off, people are hogs, marking off way more area than they need. I noticed they usually never did use all the area.
It is true the World has a much bigger crowd, and should not have trouble finding tent camping area.I have Lot 2 for Dream and lot 1 for the World so I dont have to worry about it.
Speedy always has room, my brother has tryed to get me over there but I know I wont get my rig hung up where we are. Also its nice to slip out to Motorhome at intermission, and we can do that as close as we are. They are way more rowdy over there too and im gettin too old for all that. LOL
