The car owner is a start-up team from Richie Rich Motorsports. Richie Rich is a custom car builder riding the seemingly endless wave of the cash-flush custom car craze. The 410 sprint team initially latched on to young up-n-coming talent open wheeler Tanner Thorson. Whatever the reason, a new team and an 18 year-old must not have worked out as planned.

I can only assume the Tyler Walker toss was brought about by A.) the team had a seat open and B.) Richie Rich hired Walker's former crew chief Lee Lingren who assisted Walker in his King of the West championship and felt some good might come out of knowing each other. I'm being a bit speculative, tho. I don't really follow west coast 410 closely. I didn't even realize Thorson had left RRM until I saw a somewhat recent tweet he was looking for an Ohio Speedweek ride.

As for Walker and when he'll grow out of his wild days, well, who knows when that'll be? Let's just hope it's soon and no one gets hurt in the process of waiting for that day of sobriety.

When he's not in jail, he will be in a race car. He is just that good. Shame that he can't kick his addiction. Hopefully this time he has, I just doubt it. If he is in real therapy and rehab then maybe, but I doubt it.

So talented, just think of his family money he pi$$ed away? Between funding him in sprints, to his legal troubles, you know his family has footed the bill. And they'll continue the enabling streak, so, nothing will probably change. Unless he got 100% in-patient rehab. Which I think he did the outpatient kind.

I will catch he!! for this, but if I had a sprint, I'd put him in it. Under one condition, he takes random pi$$ test for me. They'd be good tests that also test for someone cooking the test.

Id have to agree with CNB on this one here just for the simple fact that Tyler is just that d@mn good!! hopefully he whips the demons that have haunted him for so long now and can come out ontop clean and be back at the top of his game..

Yes sir. And I do have sympathy for him to a point, and then I also don't. I do because of the demons that is drug addiction. I don't because he has been given every opportunity to be a great, successful driver. Most would kill for his opportunities, hopefully this time he realizes that and stays straight.

Testing for hard drugs yes weed gets a bad rap it isn't nothing really . Before you fire back it's ok to get drunk till you want to fight and fall down and have the budlight flu the next day and go race . But if you smoked weed 3 weeks ago relaxing watching a movie at home with your woman you can't race now but your stronger without no ill effect the next day when alochol dehydrates you till your sick . People are so far out of touch with this weed thing but i umderstand about the tyler thing hard to say what he is doing . Here is a example why put 5 people in a room drunk there will be a fight ,put 5 people in a room smoking weed there going to put a band together and laugh

Couldn't agree more man. Doesn't matter for me because my company has a pretty hefty drug testing policy.

The things people have let alcohol do to them in my family alone is sickening.

Just the mere one race episode has produced Richie Rich mentions on social media, racing blogs and existing racing papers he likely wouldn't have gotten - especially on the east coast. Maybe that was the plan all along. Snap exposure with only one night of risk.

I don't agree with any drug use. But honestly who cares, do you realize how many local drivers are smoking and drinking every week at the local tracks
