    Davenport!

I'm seeing some reports he's done it again at Cherokee in Gaffney.

Actually I wasn't. I just know Fergy led the whole way until JD threw a slider on him with 4 to go.

Ferguson is on top of his game right now. I almost would've liked to have seen him win over Davenport. Not to bad for a guy with one car and one engine.

Fergy has had a great season thus far especially considering the size of his operation, much like JD. Fergy's whipped up on the WoO boys and given the Lucas boys a real run for their money. Like JD, it is well deserved and fun to watch. The older guys ain't gonna be around forever and it's great for the sport to see some of younger guys showing the promise of future star potential. It may not be Fergy time quite yet, but it's on the horizon.

Wasn't even close to a slider turned down under fergy going into 3 drove by him off of 4. JD fastest laps was at the end of the race.

Race monitor shows Davenport and O'Neal recorded their fastest lap on 47 and 48. Bloomer put down the fastest lap of the night early.

Landers broke in turn 4 as did owens a few laps later. Jd just wheeled that #6 to the front. dk how he did it but he sure was fun to watch. He had a big run on fergy comn dwn frt strech into turn one then cut to inside and slid up in front of fergy. Fergy had to brake and that was it with about 5 to go. Jd pulld away after that. Great race though. Really liked there make shift redneck water truck. Only at cherokee!

As impressive as the Weaver streak was at the beginning of the season it does not hold a candle to Davenport. I can't think of a single streak in dirt racing that is more impressive (and profitable) than the one Davenport is in now. He isn't showing any signs of slowing up either. He is for sure the best wheel man in the country.

                        Thanks,
                        Jeff.

Bloomquist and Owens got together on the restart , Scott hit the wall going into one and 1 ,2 , Owens pulled up high going into 4 .

Let me tell you from seeing it first hand , Davenport earned every bit of that first place last night 11th to 1st . What a show Going from the outside to the bottom splitting cars , the slider he threw on Ferguson for the lead .

HECK of a show at the Big G .
