Anyone close to there know how much rain they have gotten,or the forecast? Wanting to make the long trip, but don't wanna see a rain out. Any help would be appreciated.

I live close to Smoky Mountain and we have gotten a couple of good summer storms/showers over the last 24 hours, however, nothing too bad. If I were travelling any distance, my concern would be the forecast calling for 60%+ chance of thunderstorms all day and 50% into the evening. In East TN, it's hard to tell, but I suspect the track will get at least one good storm sometime today. We can only hope it is early and gets out of here before race time.
I use www.weather.gov because that's where many of the other sites get their information. -
