It's not like he put burwager in the wall, they barely touched. What did you expect Hawkins to do after charging from 14th?. He had burwager passed before the last caution anyways.. Awesome race from start to finish, can't beat the ufo series.

Yeah, they barely touched. Watch the dirtondirt video. Most of Berwangers damage came after the checkered flag dropped where he touched with Miley and spun out.

I'm a Hawkins AND Burwanger fan. Both are top notch in the driving department. One of the best driving shows I've ever seen was Burwanger unfortunately coming in 2nd in a Mod show at Skyline. My motto is that if you can't pass someone without wrinkling the sheet metal then you shouldn't pass. I'm just that way.Burwanger did make contact on one of the restarts, for the record.

                Did Berwanger himself complain?
Up in the air who my next “favorite” driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normal”.

Gotcha. If he felt wronged keep your foot in it or get him next corner.

Or next time you race with 'em. Can't get em' back after the last corner of the last lap. The pass itself wasn't filthy, but Hawkins did ride Berwanger all the way up to and over the cushion. He didn't slam him, but he definitely used him up a bit. Not a clean pass, but not out of the realm of expected on the last lap. Jeremy's obviously salty about it, but should get a few chances to reciprocate if he feels the need. And for what it's worth, the Berwanger / Hawkins contact on the restart wasn't near as bad. Hawkins obviously felt it warranted the 8 wheeled cornering approach a few laps later.
                      We'll miss ya Doc Watson...

As for the finish of the race and the contact on the restart and after seeing the race again on DoD(I was at the race watching it live) and also for the interview I can say this, on the restart coming out of turn two the number 44 pinched the 37 into the wall cause he knew he was going to get passed, then the slide job on the last lap they didn't touch any more than they did on the restart, the 44 damage came after he couldn't control his car and hit the M1 car. The interview was total bull crap from the 44 acting like the slide job was vicious or something and it was far from that. The 37 didn't door slam him or anything. One heck of a race!!!! Just my 2 cents from someone who was there and watched the video after.

My first trip to Tyler County, and I liked the place. The dust can be a little overwhelming at times, but it's a dirt race. The track crew did a good job to get practice in at 10am on Friday morning. The people around the track were all very nice and I would go back if they run this again next year.
