What is the reasoning behind the 2 dashes to determine the first eight rows of the N/S. Wasn't the passing points used to set starting positions? Seems to me, all the front runners are at risk running an extra race.

its beyond stupid. how is the average joe in the stands suppose to keep track what is going on? look at Justin Ratliff, he is totally screwed. what more could he have done in his heats, and he still isn't locked in.

What's so hard to figure out? You pass cars, you get points. Top of the points totals run 2 dashes and if they pass cars, they get points. Top total starts in front. Those starting spots where hard earned and put on a good show for the fans. Better than a lucky draw and a fast time.

Top 16 are locked in.

It's just a glorified hot lap session. They ran these last year also. McDowell passed one car, otherwise nobody passed anybody.

Agree, its different you have race to get top spot no hand outs. If you want top spot you go out there and race for it.

If the format doesn't work at PRP it will be because the track sucked. That's the only reason it wouldn't work.

Yes fans seeing drivers having to race their way into a feature and earn their spots is horrible!! I hate seeing all this extra racing!! It's so much better to watch one car on the track qualifying by himself and getting a starting spot given to him based on how he runs when no other cars are around him!! So much more exciting and NASCAR-like!!

Florence started 25 cars. Lucas handed out 2 provisionals.

I'm not sure what that has to do with Florence running a dash for the cars already locked in.

How many did Cedar Lake and WoO hand out last week???
