I know a Lucas race we went I as the driver stood by car watched them measure deck hieght on car in front of me (Lucas regular ) they held tape at 39 " and ran across back of deck even though tape wasn't touching ground and it was all good then a nobody ( me ) gets to tech and 39.5 on left was too much and we had to fox on the spot.

I didn't say they were perfectly level. I said as straight as everybody else..... I should've said they all have a slight slant to them, but there isn't one that's more than another. At least from what I've seen.

Something that often goes unteched is the torque specs for valve caps.

As to the point of this thread. I think they let a lot of things slide. But I would be willing to bet there will be some cars that won't pass tech this weekend.
