    TST, Gone Stupid!!!

My spies have reported to me that TST has went to all time trial qualifying on regular shows for all 3 late model divisions. What a joke! Here when you got 3 or 4 crown jewel events scraping time trials all together, TST decides to go the wrong way. Spies said they didn't see a competitive race until 9:20. Freaking pathetic! ...fans wanna see racing TST not boring a$$ time trials. Couple of fans told me they won't be back. Ridiculous and boring they said. And they right. ...think about this TST, Green Valley went to doing the same thing with their 3 late model classes. And where is Green Valley today? That's right, leveled.

That's just typical TST, should be used to it by now, that could be one of the greatest race tracks in the country if somebody bought it and ran it right!!!

i believe that the qualifying was at the request of the Goodwin family, who the night was for. They had dash money for all the late model type classes and wanted to qualify to set the dashes by how they qualified. I did not see anything wrong with it, those other classes hardly ever get to qualify anyway, if they qualified them at the Icebowl they would be more sportsman & crate cars there.

If it's a one week deal, fine. I'll retract. ....still boring for fans.

Maybe instead of hating so much you should appreciate the fact that you have a place to go. There have already been enough tracks closing down I would sure hate to lose another. Green Valley is really missed by me and my family in that area.

I speak for fans of racing. Not some drivers family that's going no matter what. If there's gonna be 2 plus hours of hot laps, time trials, and lower divisions heats with 4 & 5 cars, I ain't going. I'd rather drive to where that don't happen. I hate the valley closed to. But a leading factor to there shutdown was 2 plus hrs of that boring crap. The blame is on them for that and other bad management decisions. If TST goes to that, the stands will get emptier and may suffer the same fate.

Green Valley was Alabama's crown jewel dirt track hands down, and it is a shame it is now gone, which leaves us with TST unfortunately, since North Alabama is not running, and Moulton, which is not too bad of a track, just a long haul for some. TST has been running so long, there is no excuse for the way it is ran, very poor facilities for the racers and fans, and it won't change until somebody buys it, and turns it around!!!

Yeah, that's gone stupid no doubt! If they want to qualify so many cars use transponders and let hot laps be qualifying also. Hot laps/qualifying combined is a cool thing and should be the norm for timing technology advanced tracks.

I agree with the transponder deal, went to Cherokee Speedway earlier in the year and all classes use hot laps also as qualifying. Takes care of two things at once, I don't see TST buying a transponder system anytime soon, they already have the loop installed so why not bite the bullet and get them!

I don't see em spending to do the transponder deal. They won't even pressure wash the toilets with Clorox or weedeat the bleachers.

Ain't that the truth, no renovations have ever been made to that place, and it's loooooong overdue!!
