ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series John Bradshaw Memorial $15,012 to win at Ponderosa Speedway Friday August 21
Junction City, KY-August 9, 2015- Ponderosa Speedway track promoter Jerry Denson and staff will have the 3/8 mile D-shaped red clay oval known as “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring†idle until returning to action on Friday August 21 with the 12th Annual John Bradshaw Memorial presented by Sweet Beans and Things that will be sanctioned by the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series, paying $15,012 to win.
Ponderosa Speedway will present the 12th Annual John Bradshaw Memorial presented by Sweet Beans and Things on Friday August 21 and for the second straight season, the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series will sanction this event that will offer the largest to win purse to date in the history of the legendary facility, with the Super Late Model main event winner earning $15,012 for their efforts. Also on the John Bradshaw Memorial presented by Sweet Beans and Things racing card on Friday August 21 will be the track’s Sweet Beans and Things Modified division racing for $2,500 to win and the track’s Premier Integrity Solutions Pro Late Model division racing for $800 to win. The Lawson Tractor Sales and Service KDRA Super Stocks, Hardees Mini-Cup/Cyclones, and Four Cylinders will have the night off. The Modified and Pro Late Model divisions will utilize the practice/time trials combo format to determine heat race starting positions, while the Super Late Models will have practice, followed by two laps of time trials, two cars at a time. RACEceivers are mandatory in all divisions and transponder timing/scoring is used. Drivers will pick up their transponders at the driver registration window and drivers need to be signed in by the time of the drivers meeting at 7:00 p.m.
Activities for the 12th Annual John Bradshaw Memorial presented by Sweet Beans and Things at Ponderosa Speedway on Friday August 21 will see the pit area and general admission area open at 4:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m., with practice laps set to start at 7:20 p.m., while racing will take the green flag at 8:30 p.m. All times are Eastern Daylight Times. Tickets prices for the 12th Annual John Bradshaw Memorial presented by Sweet Beans and Things in the general admission area will be $30 for adults, with children ages 12 and under free, while a pit pass will be $45, with children ages 3 to 12 $15 and children age 2 and under free. Also, there will be no lawn chairs allowed in the general admission area (stadium seats are allowed).
The tire rule for the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series for this event will be as follows: Hoosier 1350, 1450, and 1600 (Lucas equivalents are also allowed); American Racer 48, 53, 56. Any right rear 70 in either brand is also allowed. The Super Late Model entry fee is $110, plus transponder fee. The Modified division will have a $60 entry fee (transponder fee is included).
