He started outside pole night 1 after dominating his heat and lost his brakes on the 5th or 6th lap on the corn field

Set fast time night 2, started 11th. No passing in the feature really. I don't mind a slick track but it was black ice

If not for simple part failure and some luck I can think of at least $17,000 he'd have for an overrated driver

i don't know all of Jackie's stats and I don't care either way..i know he's won some big races, but Jackie is as good as the travelers..only difference is he doesn't travel as much...I think he's proven as much.

How many regional drivers can show up and set fast time at a national touring event? And be a threat to win? How many regional drivers has won a heat race Sat. night at the WORLD 100 last year? Rate him how ever you want.

I rate Jackie on one incident, that had nothing at all to do with his on track performance.
First year of the DTWC being at KC raceway, I forget the year b/c I am on old guy with a failing memory now.
Jackie was under the rear of his car, changing his gearing when I showed up to have him sign a shirt of his that I had bought a few years prior. I didnt want to bother him since he was busy, so I didnt, but that didnt stop this guy from behind me from sending his redheaded son in and telling him to go ask Jackie to sign his event shirt.
The boy (about 12-13yrs old I'd say) walks past me up to the car and asks Jackie's feet if he'd sign his shirt for him!
Jackie looked out from under the car, got up, when to the hauler and wiped all the oil off his hands and got a sharpie.
Came back out an signed the boys event shirt and asked if I wanted mine signed too.
Class act right there, A+ in my book.

Riffraf if you ever come to meet the drivers night check out who the first and last driver to leave the track is and who has the biggest crowd and how many youngins you find get to sit behind the wheel of the 4b.
4m would be a much different place if he had optima or Lucas or Reece/Mark Martin on the side of the car like these other guys

Last weekend Boggs was at the Pittsburgher. He made the feature but got lapped on the 12th lap. Lost track of him after that, too busy watching the front runners.

Wasn't he the guy that dumped the hauler poop tank in the pits that year at the north south while it was still full of active racers........if so, I'm not exactly sure that qualifies him for the label of classy.

Good racer, fan favorite,does more with less........yes.

Roberts.....ferguson.....weaver are all regional guys that have actually won a national touring event......I'm sure there are more, these just come right to mind.
