That is sickening!! Why the he11 would any driver risk their life racing at a track without proper fire fighting equipment and trained fire fighters there. Do they not value their lives??
Also if a track is too ignorant and cheap to have the proper fire protection in place one has to wonder if they even have insurance......

I was at the knob last night. Im not saying they didt have safety equipment but I didn't see. But it won't surprise me if they didt, there was a lot of other issues they had also. Since my last trip up there in April the score board no longer works, and the p.a. announcer barely says anything & when he does it sounds like speakers they were using came out of a 1978 Chevy pick up. Couldn't hear anything. I truly hope the get they're act together for next season if there is one.JonA www.luvracin.com

I can confirm from my trips too the knob over the past 15 years, it has went from one of the top notch facilities in the area too hands down the worst. you used to be able to count on the racing being decent if nothing else but not now its single file this year, wow what a joke. nothing good about it. Ive made my last trip to the knob for awhile. I even had the rain check from Saturday nnight & I didn't nor did I have any intention on going back when I pulled out of the parking lot Saturday night.Last edited by WVRACEFAN; 09-21-2015, 08:52 AM.JonA www.luvracin.com

Another Rick Jones success story just when we thought Cumberland, Md was his finest hour. There's basically no one left to run the track on raceday. Kudos to Amy for sticking it out. Imagine how she feels seeing the track go so far down hill.
