Whether you're a Scott fan or hater, at the end of the day, the man deserves respect for his on track accomplishments. There has been no one as successful as Bloomquist (save maybe Moyer) since Scott started driving nationally. Did Davenport just finish the most successful single season ever? Yep. Despite that, Scott has been at the top of the heap through different chassis, different suspension setups, different tire rules, different series, different bodies, etc.. While his demeanor isn't exactly pleasing, he's the best of the best, and has been for about 25 years. Moyer is right there, but it's hard to elevate anyone above Bloomquist.

Watch what? There was nowhere to go, you had three wide lappers. Jacob drove literally over top of him, shoe was on the other foot you'd be calling Strickler a dirty SOB, as I am Jacob. It was a terrible move, showed no patience.

Like I said you need to watch it again.... Strickler hit the cushion and his car turned down the track and he didn't know Hawkins was there, if it was dirty strickler's car would have been in the wall.

Yes CSX rolled thru after about 25 laps into feature !!!! But I got to say track was good until then great weekend of racing !!!!!!!!! Thanks all of PRP workers !!!!

Last night was an example of a promoter doing a good job of promoting an event but the track providing a lousy surface to race on. The crowd was phnomial but the racing was very poor. Last night proved again that top heavy purses does not bring cars. The DTWC this year paid 50k more and had no more cars. If the purse would have been increased significantly back through with the extra 50k there would be a better chance of a larger car count... Like 50k to win with 5k to start. It is sad when the Jim Dunn Race pays 3k and the winner has a choice to forfeit the 3k and start on the tail of a 100 lap race on a track that produced very little passing that pays 2k to start. Ferguson would have had to finish 8th and run another 100 laps to earn the same as winning the Jim Dunn race. What would prob work better at Portsmouth for this race would be to run the b mains and mod feature on Friday after heats the. Just run the Jim Dunn race and DTWC on Saturday so the track isn't so worn out. Great promotion by Carl Short... Great Atmosphere....Lousy track conditions.

I wouldn't blame track for the surface..ton of laps on it..only thing could have done is take the time to re-work surface after dunn memorial..

The rescheduling you propose makes a lot of sense. PRP gets cooked pretty much every time on a two day show.
