The total purse is $151,300 per DoD article here...

For that kind of money, I would expect 100 laps. I would hate to see a precedent of shorter big money races.

$3,000 to start and only 75 laps? The length of dirt races is becoming a joke. That's one thing asphalt does better for sure.

75 laps is plenty. track will probably be locked down by that time anyway.

No it should be a hunnerd lapper, locking down could happen on lap one.

Why not just have 35 or 40 laps and let it be a sprint to the 50 grand. I kinda wish it and the woo were not on the same dates.. Then we would have had the the best of the woo gang mixed in with the Lucas guys..

...and Smoky Mountain put out their 2016 schedule today with the WoO date being moved to May 7. Assume Ponderosa will follow suit.

I'm glad that the Atomic Speedway is getting the chance at this big of an event. After this past season and proving that they can handle the big sanctioning bodies including the Lucas Oil Late Model Series, World of Outlaw Late Models and the All Star Circuit of Champions Sprint car series with much success. Brad and the Atomic Speedway crew have really done an outstanding job at bringing the fastest 3/8 mile track back to life and really had some awesome shows in 2015. Now looking at the 2016 schedule you will for sure want to put the Atomic Speedway on your schedule for 2016.
Next Race: 3/31/18 "Bunny 20's" with Sprints, Late Models, Modifieds and Sport Mods
*We will also be having an Easter Egg Hunt @ 3:00 so bring the kids out for a fun and enjoyable Saturday night as we open the 2018 race season*

Check out all pictures from Atomic Speedway on my facebook page https://www.facebook.com/luvracinBig...?ref=bookmarks

Plenty of laps. More laps, better chance of a locked down track.
Up in the air who my next “favorite” driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normal”.
