Davenport, Lanigan & O'Neal headed to Arizona in January

Sunday recap video on dirtondirt around the 1:25 mark has Davenport saying he is ready for Arizona and around the 4:00 mark Lanigan says both cars will be there. Clanton is generally there as well, if so, they're looking at having both touring series winners and some of the top names in the country there in pursuit of the Quarter Million Dollar bonus. Anyone have a chance at it? Heck, $100,000 for 5 wins and $50,000 for 4 is nothing to shake a stick at either.

            BAH HA HA!

As funny as that question may be, it's a legit question. I believe they had a flat on the way to Fayetteville and I think I remember reading something about problems they had with it around the time of the Show Me. I know they really weren't planning to do a national tour and those things sure as heck ain't cheap, but you'd think they could afford to invest in a new one after the season they had.

Yeah JD mentioned it was suppose to be done Fri/Sat. But in his post race interview it sounded like it hadn't gotten done yet or atleast wasn't at the track.

They'll just make an excuse about how something isn't right and then not show up knowing they may have to actually race some competition.

I'd bet he is there, though. Semi-retirement means he's still gonna race from time to time. The fact that mods are on the card too, and he can help his mod customers and perhaps sell some more cars would give him reason to go for sure.

The type of mod being pushed out at Karl Performance isn't gonna be what's down at Tucson. They primarily build IMCA type mods and what's at Tucson is USMTS/USRA modifieds.

Unless JD has already ordered a new hauler or plans to buy a used one, those things don't get built overnight. I order big trucks from KW/Pete/Freightliner as a part of my job, they are 4-6 months out on getting a build slot for the chassis, nevermind the actual toter conversion.
