Rodney Sanders, Mars, K Rob, Tony Jackson, Owens, Moyer Jr, Whitwell, Alberson, Chris Simpson are all names I'd expect to see. With the addition of Lanigan, and the Club 29 & Keyser affiliation with the WWS, I wouldn't be surprised to see the CBR cars there.

Stormy Scott doesn't have a LM ride anymore. Otherwise I expect all the names mentioned to be there. Maybe grab a few more from the midwest.Originally posted by waaac77 View PostRicky Weiss

It would really be cool to see Ricky Thorton Jr pick up a Late Model ride for this Event. The kid had a helluva year in a Mod winning 47 races in like 88 starts. I don't think he's been in a Late Model since he raced his way into an A-main at Charlotte last year. He has a lot of laps around USA and he will be fun to watch in a Mod there come January.
Thought I heard the announcer say last weekend that Whitwell was also looking for a Late Model ride for the WWS. You could add Jake O'Neil to the list.

Talked w/ Whitwell last weekend in Yuma and it seems his ride (Humphrey) has backed out for now, unless there is a sponsor come up w/ some money for them to bring the car out
Agree on Thorton Norm-------- he had one helluva year in a mod and is every bit as smooth in a late model! Only a month away to my favorite shows of the year! Both Moyers according to Juniors interview.

I had heard Whitwell say he was driving both classes in an interview done in Vegas a few weeks back, then last week heard he was looking for a LM ride. Makes sense now, thanks Scott.Originally posted by scottdomine22 View PostTalked w/ Whitwell last weekend in Yuma and it seems his ride (Humphrey) has backed out for now, unless there is a sponsor come up w/ some money for them to bring the car out

Read on a couple of USA's press releases that Donny Schatz will run the last 4 shows, and Timothy Culp and Gordy Gundaker will be making the tow to the desert.

Good stuff - I had read the Schatz deal too, forgot about it.... Also thought that I read Jason Feger confirmed, but don't remember where I read it???? This could easily turn out to be the most talented field (top end anyway) to ever converge on the desert 3/8 mile!!!! Let's keep this thread going.... it's almost here
Taking the week off work this year instead of the normal 3 days off I take.... hope to soak up some of the other things Tucson has to offer in our spare time!

Here's what I found, PF. Mark Bennings is listed under his profile on his website as Owner/Crew chief. It appears that Mr. Bennings owns a Heating and Air out of Prattsville, Ar.
Tim ran a lot of USMTS stuff this past season, so he may run both classes.

I would imagine after next week Scott, that this list will materialize. (after PRI) Feger without question would be cool to see in Tucson.
2015 NLRA Champ Dustin Strand out of Grand Forks, ND has made it known that he and his Team are coming. I am quite sure that Clay Daly, Jason Papich, and Tony Toste will be there as well.
