lanigan is far too busy to do what it takes to win a lucas oil championship as a driver. he should field a team with a hired gun instead of being the hired gun. jmo.

You better not have jinx us lol... but his track record not that strong with lucas. I believe he only has one win Knoxville 2013 out of 40+ races give or take he has handful of top 5s tho. Not saying he can't, but my money wouldn't be on him.

According to The Third Turn, you are correct. Since 2004 he has 39 starts in the Lucas series with 1 win, 14 top 5's and 23 top 10s.

My guess is that most of the Lucas races he has run have been the bigger events with tougher competition, so I'd expect he would do better than his career stats in the series indicate. It will be very interesting to see how he does though.
