Scottie Kania is one of the very best in the northeast. He was fantastic before vinyl took over and is just as good with the vinyl now that it's a thing. Was also a pretty good modified driver when he was driving.

I almost feel like the car painting is a lost art, kinda like pen stripping and brazing. I came in at the end of the car painting era, but still enjoy the art work......pure talent.

I'd like to see a actual painted car show up at the world for the best appearing car deal, it would definitely be my favorite.

As you say, back in the day, there was only one guy that everyone used,he traveled from Ohio to the midwest and southeast, and on occasion to the western states. He was known as Bob "The Spiderman"Cook.

Others claimed that they were the latest, but the SPIRDERMAN was the greatest.

Art Dexter was a prolific sign man from the Chicago area and had a very distinctive style as shown on Sal Tovellas's USAC Plymouth.
