It certainly used to be that way but not so much anymore. I once heard someone refer to the series as "The World of Rockets" which was kinda true at the time but as I sit here thinking about the tour regulars I'm having trouble thinking of anyone except Josh who is running them. McCreadie I guess but I actually thought he may be looking for a change after the last two seasons in one but maybe the XR1 is going to be his salvation. I actually own a Rocket and am a great supporter of them but the WOO is certainly not dominated by them any longer. John 1*

Considering Richards was a major driving force behind the creation of the modern day WoO and fiercely loyal to it, why wouldn't he be the first name in the rules committee?

Reward the loyalists with cabinet positions.

Every prominent chassis and engine maker should be at the symposium IMO..

Just doesn't look right by not inviting everyone, why open up that can o worms?

That being said, there are some very very solid individuals that have been invited and will keep the scales balanced.

I don't disagree that every major chassis and engine builder should be on board. That way, you get basically everybody's opinion on proposed rule changes.

I will say it seems a little weird to have Bob Pierce on board with the names in the chassis builder category. There's exactly 0 WoO regulars running a Pierce, and I don't think there's ever been a tour regular that did run one.

Guys - I know everyone likes to have a good debate. But lets wait and see what comes of the meeting. It has not even happened yet. After the first meeting maybe more people will be invited. Maybe some will be uninvited. But what I can tell you is that this is being done with the best of intentions. There is no hidden agenda. It was formulated in hopes that we could all begin to work together on rules that make sense for everyone going forward. I love racing and my job in the sport and I would like for them to be around for a really long time. So if you want to be critical wait until there is actually something to be critical of. It would be impossible to get EVERYONE together in one sitting at one venue. But there are ways that we can draw opinions and ideas from the entire industry. But this is just the first step. I am glad that we are taking it. Just stay tuned.

I don't know that it would be impossible to get everybody together at the World Finals. That seems to be the one show that pretty much everybody involved in high level late model racing seems to attend. I think it would be a great place to schedule a meeting to discuss possible rule changes for 2017.
